The producer known as sKREET_muZIC was practically born in the studio. His father, a jazz musician, would drag him along to gigs and recording sessions, immersing him in the art of music. When he was a child, he got in trouble for playing with records, and he made recordings on cassette. This led him to Hip-Hop music. He played with his fathers drum machines as a teen, but focused more on the DJing aspect of Hip-Hop, cutting and scratching samples over beats.
As he gained a solid foundation in rap music through playing dj sets, the goal was to eventually produce. He collected various drum machines and software packages, and as soon as his kit was complete he went in full throttle and is going with his eye on the prize, making good music with talented artists.
He teamed up with rapper Yong 3rd and recorded the single, “IDGAF” which was downloaded over 20,000 times in the first week it was leaked. Combined YouTube views, downloads, and Internet radio plays is near a quarter million. That’s amazing for sKREET_muZIC’s first recorded production. The oh so eloquent and timely hook, ‘I Don’t Give A Fuck!’, which he wrote, was even used by Lil Jon a few months later in his song ‘Out Of Your Mind’, getting radio play.
With proof that his concepts are radio ready and his beats have widespread appeal, he is moving forward, creatively, discovering and recording young artists looking for that perfect beat. He won’t stop until he’s built a hit factory.
